With the press of the button, water is split into hydrogen and oxygen gases through our patented electrolysis process.This hydrogen H2 gas infuses the water creating antioxidant (energy-giving) water with maximum bioavailability.

Using advanced Solid Polymer Electrolytic (SPE) and Proton Exchange Membrane (PEM) technology, the infusion of pure H2 delivers high-concentration hydrogen.

The new SPE electrolysis technology and direct venting through the lid allows water to evenly wrap hydrogen molecules to promote the stable combination of oxygen and water. The surface is covered with a molecular-level microporous ion membrane to prevent heavy metals from being precipitated. It has the characteristics of high hydrogen concentration and good stability.

What is PEM technology?

The Proton Exchange Membrane that we have diagramed on the right is the heart of a hydrogen infusion machine Vawa. The electrolytic cell is the proton exchange membrane (PEM) with solid polymer electrolyte (SPE), a very different type of membrane from that used in a standard alkaline ionizer.

Here is a diagram, a description of the components, and an overview of the chemistry involved in the production of H2 gas:

First the water at the anode provides source of H+ ions. Then the PEM permits migration of H+ ions from anolyte to cathode. At the cathode, H+ ions combine with electrons from the power supply (reduction reaction) to form H atoms which pair-up to form H2 gas.

Finally the oxygen gas produced at the anode (through oxidation of hydroxide) vents through lid removal.
